SAD . The chef left me a note

wow. I got a message from the chef Girl on the Vine and myself reviewed yesterday. Here is what he had to say VERBATIM:

"What the fuck??? Are you on crack? you smell something...oh yea, its the shit youve been talkin..must be your breathe(sic).Listen here you pig face...obviously youve blown a head gasket,you misguided misinformed wretch! I been spinnin(sic) swine since you were shittin yellow(ya know....like your fuckin spine) Anytime and I mean anytime you want to step out from behind your cyber cloak and show your pig face..I will show you exactly what I bring to the table and what you lack!And yes thats a fucking challenge! Ive been cooking for 35 years and just started referring to myself as a chef so why dont you drop down and suck it..because that is the only thing you will be tasting of mine. What a fucking joke no class,no skill,no balls. Hey is that why your back is turned on your headshot. fuckin coward..."  MASTER CHEF JAKE GANDOLFO

Really? You’re going to lump your childhood years (starting @ age 5) into your culinary career? Well me too then! 33 years of cooking under my belt & my creations are beloved, wait tack on 2 more years, I want to count my Easy Bake oven ~ I also know how to sear fish & meat, and flambĂ© ~ must make me a MASTER CHEF!…I think I’ll start yelling it at everyone I meet, talk about how great I am in videos, and how I know how to ‘sear’ meats…and I’ll charm my potential clients with my blog postings

Jake, your no beauty queen ~ Smug, contemptuous, classless does not begin to describe the depth of your lacking. Nothing wrong with pursuing your passions but being a num-nut is going to kill your business quick , especially in this small community.

I can honestly say that I will never eat at any place where this man is cooking. This kind of garbage talk exhibits such an overwhelming lack of taste, class, personal restraint, self respect and respect for others that I would not want him handling any food that would be on my plate. What a loser.

uh when i worked under smoking whisk in th 90s that girl had the biggest balls wrapped in passion,knowledge and raw truth and thats what she delivered to you. too bad you will never work with her she could have taught you a thing or two and damn you are gonna miss one good party where the REAL cooks of SC County will be at her place. go away please. its hard enough to get the rest of the world to take sc serious. good job jack hole

Hey Tabitha... Erin here, Jake's wife. I have to write to you to say how disaapointed I am in you and your 11 person following blog. I was a server for your "friend" and her table at our last event (by the way I cleared their EMPTY plates as well) and they seemed to be enjoying themselves (as well as the other 50 people in the room)

I just have to say how sad it is that you have gone out of your way to be a bitch to my husband while you haven't even been to one of our events! Jake and I are trying something new, that hasn't been done in Santa Cruz (and I am sure there is a learning curve) but as a fellow "lover of food" and all things new and different... I wouldn't expect you to go out of your way to put something and somebody out of business before we have even got things up and going. I have had many meals that I haven't enjoyed over the years in Santa Cruz but I would NEVER and I do mean NEVER "blog" about it because I have a heart and I understand that people should make judgments for themselves. Neither you nor I are in a position to judge people and should not use cyber space as a forum to hurt people with the opinions that should be left to our friends. Trust me, Jake has had plenty of judgement from the show. The judgemnet he got from great chef's like Gordan Ramsey, Cat Cora and Graham Ellitot have helped to be the person he is today, and he is a great person and cook! Jake has donated tons of money and time to great causes in Santa Cruz. He donates 1000's of dollars to Santa Cruz Cancer Benefit and Bikers Against Child Abuse and Dominican Hospital and Cabrillo College and Lightfoot Industry (a program for at risk teens)... not to mention the donations that he makes to Boston Medical (where our neice is getting treated for cancer for her second time in her 18 year life) Jake is going to be a member of The Seafood Watch program and plans on apperaing at next year's program in Monterey. You don't know anything about Jake or what he is about. Trust me...he has been judged by much harsher critics than you... but this is a small town and he/we are doing our best to bring people happiness and bring ourselves happiness doing something we love and we want to share. We are show-casing local artist/performers/musicians and pastry chefs at our events to help bring awareness to our local talent. Why would you want to bad-mouth people that are trying so hard to help our community? Santa Cruz is proud of Jake (so am I) and they should be.... this is a man who is making his dreams come true and it is most un-fortunate that you think that you should have the power to take it away from him, from me, from us all! You and your friend should be ashamed and embarased for trying to hurt people that give so much back to the community... did you say you are from Santa Cruz? SHAME

Tabitha- I think we all have to get over the fact that it's not ok to be somewhat critical of things in Santa Cruz, which is the reason we don't have a lot of nice things here. You're a brave girl, good on ya. Especially if people are spending really good money on a meal and expecting it to be of a certain quality, they should really know what they're getting. Nobody in Santa Cruz is providing that. You look at the Sentinel food reviews and the Good Times and they're too afraid to piss of one of their precious advertisers to say something even remotely critical.
I do admire anyone who's brave enough to stick their neck out and follow their dream, so Jake and his wife have my support in that regard. I do think if you're going to be in the food biz and call yourself a MASTER CHEF and charge people good money to eat your food, you should be ok if not everyone loves it. Heard of Yelp?

I have seen in your personality something I have never seen before. At first I didn't think that you wrote such a response. You could actually learn from criticism, no matter how it is delivered. NOBODY is perfect and should be open to life's lessons. You will miss out so much with your closed minded attitude, which also showed up at the "truck stop" episode of MC.

Dissapointed to have seen you sink below the level of the review.

This is Tabitha's blog and she only posted what your husband wrote to her because he didn't like his cooking being criticized. Too bad.

If he didn’t want people to see him for who he truly is then he shouldn’t of wrote it.

It doesn’t make Tab a bitch because Your husband wrote something nasty that got exposed, the true Bitch here is Jake.

You can rant all you want about how great he is but clearly he has some serious issues.
